Clearing Out.

So the storm has been falling back. Some pow was scored today as the gas cloud was burning off. Still many tracks to be had and the park crew have been cleaning up the mess. She just keeps on dumping on us! Well as always stoked on what we got going today. Thanks Ray, Mike, Andy C, Mark, Todd, Fish, and Blair. Legends! Some pics from the window downtown tonight.

Gassed Out!

As the SE moves in it brings with it the cloud. In the park with constantly changing terrain it gets pretty hard to know just how fast you're going. In between digging out the features once again this week the crew had some interesting times finding the way home...

From Whiteboard to 3D Model...

We built up some models today of potential up and coming features for the park. Some for private reasons and some for the public. Its always fun to take it off the paper or whiteboard and put it into a 3D model. So stoked to have so much snow this year. This little beauty took a while to build. Hold fire on the expectations... this one is under wraps.

Thanks Tim for the photos. - http://www.flickr.com/photos/timhailwood/

Bit of Gore.

Today was another powder day. After rebuilding the park 2 - 3 times now we are yet again ready to do it once more. As we set up all around the parks the crew to some much appreciated laps through the Log Chute and bottom of the triple chair things were going sweet! then out of nowhere with a new line following Young Buck i came unstuck and received a hefty gash in the elbow. Doing the old kamakaze roll has it's benefits - saves your head. But the down side was stitches... Next time you think about dropping out of the sky make sure you have had some practice in the art of Kamakaze rolls. Great Powder today none the less. Thanks to Andy C and Mikey.

2X Rebuild.

We Have rebuilt the mini park 2 times now... After the latest downfall and 200 + km/hr winds we have got 4 jibs in and will be building the jumps up during the week. That and the big park needs a complete rebuild. Don't worry we are getting there. Patience is a vertue. Thanks Tim - http://www.flickr.com/photos/timhailwood/

Sleepover! Yeah Right!

So Jokes aside. We got stuck on the hill. Some could not believe that thursty Thursday was a right off so kept charging overnight as the lucky 5 people in Steelworx score an untaped bar queue and the crew hung out, slept, and helped those lucky few across the stair set to the toilets. HOLD THE ROPE! You probably saw the news footage. 200+ Km/hr woohwho! Thanks Tim - http://www.flickr.com/photos/timhailwood/

Updated...

You have just been updated! No, but seriously we are doing the best we can right now. Even under the cover of darkness we are building up the parks again. Why you ask... because the crew have another handful of idea's they wanted to share with the crowds. We will continue through the week starting with mini park, then big park, then the pipe. it is going to be fun times! Some shots from the last 2 days around the mountain. Thanks to Tim Hailwood for a selection of the pics. http://www.flickr.com/photos/timhailwood/

Snow.

So the mountain got around 1m of snow. Pretty sweet if you are a powder junkie. Pretty bad if you work in the park! So the crew had everything shaped up tip top through the whole line up. Now all swallowed up by the force of nature we are prepping to re dig them out and shape em up clean. Some pics from this morning before the mountain opened up.

Good Day.

Today was fun times. Pipe was groomed up well from Fish last night. Nice work. The efforts from Snowmaking, and grooming so sick! Fish, Blair and their teams have been on point all season. Thank You. Also a massive thanks to Zach O and the TP team for measuring and cutting. Today was a good time. Pipe was sick and jumps were on too! Clear, calm conditions that allowed for snowboarding and skiing that was shared by a few others! Thanks to Tim Hailwood http://www.flickr.com/photos/timhailwood/ for the shots.
